ACEC Ohio Virtual Ethics Training

ACEC Ohio is offering a 2 credit ethics course via Zoom on Tuesday, September 17 at 11:00 am. Tom Pannett, Partner with Kegler Brown Hill + Ritter will lead the first hour. John Greenhalge, Executive Director of the Ohio Engineers and Surveyors Board will lead the second hour. 

Tom will present “Ethics from Aristotle to AI.”

The fundamental roots of ethics have been symbolized in Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics for over 2300 years. Today, machines are learning to be ethical and can be programed to design structures, produce accurate information for consumers, and solve many other challenges. For this presentation Tom will delve into the ethics of Aristotle and AI such as ChatGPT and review the current landscape in AI ethics.

John will cover:
